Guide
When a sexy woman calls the wrong number, Chandler seeks to make the most of the situation. Income issues divide the friends: the well-off Ross, Chandler and Monica versus the not-so-well-off Phoebe, Rachel and Joey.

Summary
A woman named Jade leaves a message for a "Bob" on Chandler's answering machine. After hearing her sexy voice (and the fact that she says shes drunk and naked), Chandler picks up the phone and pretends to be Bob. He makes a date to meet her at Central Perk the following afternoon.
Rachel tells Joey and Phoebe how the rest of the gang don't understand why money is tight for them. Monica enters, frustrated because she was given dual promotions at work. Joey, Phoebe, and Rachel can not understand her because they scrimp and save to get by.
Chandler, at Central Perk with Ross, tries to get the nerve up to talk to Jade, the beautiful blond who called him earlier. Ross sends Chandler over to her, urging him to come clean. Chandler goes up to her, introducing himself without mentioning any "Bob".
At a fancy restaurant the gang celebrates Monica's promotions. Chandler, Monica, and Ross order from the menu. But Joey, Phoebe, and Rachel try to get the least expensive item. Ross calculates that everyone owes over thirty dollars. Phoebe stands up for the fact that she, Rachel, and Joey shouldn't have to pay full-price when they ordered the cheap side items. This stirs into a brouhaha.
Since the argument over money at the restaurant, Monica was able to get dinner for six: five steaks and one eggplant, compliments of her work. And they also got six tickets to the Hootie and the Blowfish concert. Now they all can spend Ross' birthday without worrying about money. But Phoebe, Joey, and Rachel feel it is nothing more than charity and pass on the concert.
Chandler is happy because he had sex earlier with Jade. The phone rings, and Jade leaves a message for "Bob" on the answering machine. Chandler enjoys being able to play "Bob" and himself with this girl, so he can have her all to himself. Except when she tells him that the sex she had was only "eh," Chandler doesn't feel so excited anymore.
Monica, Ross, and Chandler are at the Hootie concert. They are having a fantastic time. Monica runs into Steve, a kid she used to babysit. He get Monica, Ross and Chandler backstage because his law firm represents the band.
The next day at Central Perk, Ross asks Rachel how their night went. When she answered that it "pretty much sucked," Monica didn't want to rub in that they got to meet Hootie, so she pretended it was a crappy night too.
Rachel notices a hickey on Monica's neck. They force it out of Monica, Ross, and Chandler that they met and partied with Hootie. They start to bicker again as Monica's work pager goes off. Monica calls her boss to find out that she is fired over the missing 5 steaks. The gang goes to comfort Monica, forgetting about their bickering.
