Ross is in a hurry to get everyone dressed for an important banquet at the museum, but no one is co-operating.

Summary
Everyone is in Rachel and Monica's apartment except for Phoebe. They are getting ready for an important event at the museum where Ross is going to do a speech. However, Ross is the only one ready and he tries to make everyone hurry up as they have under a half-hour before they have to go.
Rachel is trying to figure out what to wear. Phoebe enters the apartment ready to go. Chandler comes out from the bathroom and Joey is sitting in the chair that Chandler was sitting in before. Chandler tells him to get up, but he doesn't want to.
Monica comes out of her room and checks the messages in the answering machine. There is a message from Richard, but she does not know whether the message is old or new and wonders whether she should call him even though the two of them had agreed not to talk to each other. Ross tells her just to get ready.
Chandler is still trying to get his chair back, but while arguing about it, Joey accidentally flings some humus on Phoebe's dress. Phoebe gets upset and Rachel suggests that Phoebe should borrow something from her or Monica.
Meanwhile, Monica sends a message to Richard wondering about the message he had sent her. She knows the code to Richard's answering machine and decides to play her message back to the others because she is worried it might not be breezy enough. She finds that there is also a message from a woman in his machine, who says that she had a fun time yesterday. Monica is shocked as she thinks that Richard has a girlfriend, but Chandler says that it is probably Richard's daughter, Michelle.
Ross tells Chandler to go and get changed and promises Chandler will get the chair afterwards, when Joey goes to change, so Chandler leaves the room. When he comes back, he tells Joey to get up from the chair. Joey obeys, but takes the cushions of the chair with him making Chandler furious.
At the same time, Ross has been in Rachel's room trying to help her find a good outfit but mistakenly choosing a Halloween costume, which makes Rachel unhappy with him.
When Joey comes back, he yells at Chandler for taking all his underwear and says that he is going to do the exact opposite of what Chandler did. He storms out of the apartment.
Ross starts shouting at Rachel because she still has not chosen what she is going to wear and Rachel quietly backs into her room again.
Monica calls Michelle to see if it was her message in the answering machine. When she establishes that it was her, she hangs up the phone. However, Michelle calls her back as she has a caller ID thing. Monica tries to explain everything to Michelle, but she hangs up on her. Monica finally starts getting ready after Chandler and Phoebe have broken the phone in Monica's bedroom.
Rachel comes out of her room and informs she is not going to go but is going to stay home and catch up on correspondence, clearly very upset about Ross's yelling. Joey comes into the apartment wearing every piece of Chandler's clothing. Ross is fed up with the two of them fighting all the time and tells them that they cannot come at all.
Ross asks Rachel if there is anything he can do to make it up to her and get her to change her mind about coming. Joey suggests that he could drink the fat and Rachel agrees. Ross is just about to drink it, when Rachel stops him promising that she will go, not believing that Ross was actually going to drink the fat just for her. Rachel goes to get changed. Joey goes too after Ross demands Chandler to give Joey back his underwear.
Monica leaves Richard a message apologizing for her behaviour previously, but accidentally records a new outgoing message into his machine. Phoebe comforts her by saying that he will probably switch phone numbers after this incident and the two of them go downstairs with Joey and Chandler to get a cab to the museum.
Rachel finally comes out from her room wearing a dress. Ross and Rachel kiss before going after the others.
